Photographer's Note

It may happen, in a big city...two very different people could meet in a square and stay together for long weeks, under the sun, under the rain.
It happened to Giordano and Laura.
Here, in brief, their stories, but don't ask me how and why they met!
Giordano Bruno, born Filippo Bruno (1548 February 17, 1600), was an Italian philosopher best-known as a proponent of heliocentrism and the infinity of the universe. In addition to his cosmological writings, he also wrote extensive works on the art of memory, a loosely-organized group of mnemonic techniques and principles. He is often considered an early martyr for modern scientific ideas, in part because he was burned at the stake as a heretic by the Roman Inquisition in February 17th, 1600, just in the square where the statue stands (and where I took this pic).
Laura Pausini (born May 16, 1974) is an Italian pop singer, popular in several European, Latin American, and Middle Eastern countries, famed for her powerful voice, her romantic adult contemporary ballads and love songs. She is fluent in several languages and has recorded songs in Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and English. She has also recorded some songs in Portuguese and French. At the 2006 Grammy Awards, Pausini won Best Latin Pop Album for Escucha.
That's all, folks. It happens, in a big city.
