Photographer's Note
Second in a small series of photos from the peace demonstrations that took place in Rome (and Europe) 2005. Taking a low POV and head on you get a confrontation shot at the police. There were several hundred police on duty this day. Overkill or what?

Nice shot here Mark. The flash really works here to emphasize POLIZIA. This could probably be used in a number of different types of stories.
Low POV was the way to go here.
Great Job.

Hi Mark!
Hehe, you really like the italian police ;-)
Ok, I have to be honest, I really liked the previous one like I said in my note but this one is (for me) much less interesting. One reason is that there is no feel of "something is happening", no feel of a tension (as you could expect in a demonstration, be it "peace demonstartion" ;-)), like I could feel in the last photo. Here the guys look just relax, posing like a football team, and they don't even look scary (well sure they could easily kick my ass! hehe). Not that it's a bad photo but just I don't have the same feeling as I had with the previous one which was really good!
Cheers

yes, there isn't much tension in this pic. It's not a really 'decisive moment'. The policeman look even scared. but it's a nice picture and well composed.

nice image Mark, you need quite a lot of courage to take pics like this, good composition, maybe the flash is slightly too strong, but it is tricky.. nice work
