Photographer's Note
This is Bernini's stained-glass window at the extreme end of St Peter's Basilica at the Vatican. The dark edges of the photo are the shapes of the bronze sculpture by Bernini that surrounds the window. In order to properly expose the dove at the center, I had to underexpose the edges. Post-processing was limited to sharpening and contrast adjustment.

Hi James,
Well captured, this looks like a painting more than anything. The light is really good and there's lots of detail here. A good example of a case where a centered composition is preferrable.
