Ground from a different prospective, a photo from Savona, Liguria

Photographer's Note

Not everyone had the great pleasure to see the ground coming up at 80 knots from this unusual point of view. I though it was worth sharing.

It was taken during a private pilot lesson: a 30 minutes flight from Genova (LIMJ) to Albenga Airport (LIMG).
After descending between the mountains, you turn in final approach to line up with the runway, and see this great view. The green mountains very close at your side and the sea in front of you, after the plain of Albenga.

The aircraft is an Aerospatiale TB9 Tampico.

One of my most favorite views in the world! Always good to enjoy a little time away from terra firma! The angle of the runway really adds a sense of motion to the shot, as the viewer anticipates the plane to line up and straighten out moments after the picture was taken. Great post!
