The Pearl of the Lake, a photo from Como, Lombardia

Photographer's Note

Bellagio on Lake Como is known as the pearl of the lake, and for good reason. It is a colourful old town, with steep alleys and trendy shops and great views of the lake. It is also teeming with tourists, but that is to be expected for such a wonderful place. This view shows some of the buildings on the waterfront, which is lined with flowers in spring.

I think the North Italian lakes are places of pure beauty,these rare timeless scenes it could be 100s of years ago...,this is the charm of Europe annd Italy in preticulair,l
Lots of history and archtectture.

A lovely image with a very high quality made.
All ingredients are present for a wonderful picture, nice flowers in foreground, nice building as architecture image to the rightside.
Perspective and depth are excellent.
Colors and sharpness make this image interesting.

The red line of flowers are very important here, they contrast beautifully against the blue water and mountains. This is a very pleasant view, a perfect summer picture!

the colours in this picture are so vibrnat and bold. the sky is wonderfully clear and appealing with the white clouds scattered across it. you have composed it perfectly with great foreground interest leading to the lake and onto the buildings with that amazing backdrop of the mountains in the distance. excellent depth of field and sharpness throughout.

Have never been to the Italian lakes but this reminds me that it's on my list of must see places.

The shot is full of colour, from the magnificent foreground flowers to the lakeside buildings. The mountains provide a wonderful backdrop setting.

Good sharpness and depth of field.
