Afternoon on the lake, a photo from Como, Lombardia

Photographer's Note

This is the gardens of the Villa Melzi, on Lake Como at Bellagio. The gardens stretch along the lake shore, with views of the lake and the mountains. These gardens are open to the public. Here the afternoon clouds are building up behind the mountains, although it is still sunny on the lake. On the end of the wooded peninsula in the background sits the Villa Balbianello.

I used Photoshop to lighten up the trees, which were quite dark because I was shooting toward the sun.

Hi Vincent,
I like the very strong and attractive colours and the clear separation between green foreground and blue background. The processing you mention is hardly noticable, the contrasts look perfect to me. A very beautiful view!
