Diretti in barca a vela da Civitavecchia all'Isola d'Elba, io ed il mio vecchio amico Felice (proprietario della barca) facemmo sosta all'isola del Giglio.
La notte ci fu burrasca e tutte le barche ormeggiate in rada rientrarono in porto, un porto troppo piccolo per accogliere tutte le imabarcazioni, costrette ad ormeggiare una attaccata all'altra. A causa del gran trambusto non riuscimmo a dormire e, verso le 5 del mattino, alle prime luci dell'alba, decidemmo di riprendere il mare ancora molto agitato. Non fu una buona scelta, ma ci potemmo godere questo spettacolo straordinario.

Direct sailing from Civitavecchia to Elba, I and my old friend Felice (boat owner) did stop at the island of Giglio.
The night there was storm and all the boats moored in the sea returns to port, a port is too small to accommodate all ships, forced to moor next to the other one. Because of the uproar we could not sleep and at about 5 am, before dawn, we decided to sail still very agitated. It was not a good choice, but there we were able to enjoy this extraordinary spectacle.
