Photographer's Note
Back to Pisa to show you the alley where the Cinema Lumiere is located. The Cinema Lumiere was founded by Alessandro Agostini in 1905 and is still owned by the Agostini family today. It opened as a cinema on December 16, 1905, possibly in a building converted for cinema use. It was designed by the famous architect Luigi Bellincioni
It is considered to be one of the oldest cinemas in the world, and the main auditorium seats 198 people. Refurbished in 2005, and then in 2013, it is now a restaurant and bar with live entertainment. Nothing exceptional, but I really liked the frame effect created by overexposure.

Hi Luciano
Great one through the arch with the good "luminous" effect of the orange wall beyond.

Hello Luciano,
We actually don't really see the cinema, but the painted letters above the arch are nice and there is an attractive view down the narrow street. It looks like a typical "Silvio composition". (Most of us have taken this kind of photo sometimes.) It's a slight pity about the graffiti on the left side but there was nothing to do. I love the colour of the building at the bottom of the view.
Best regards,
Gert

Ciao Caro Luciano,
There is something very special about old buildings, built specially for a purpose. Built in1905, I bet it seems very luxurious inside!
This view, with the signage, immediately gives the impression that we are looking through the darkness towards a screen! It is a bit of an illusion!
Beautifully captured, retailing the fine, outer details and creating an excellent sense of depth.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

silvio like a lot this kind of theme with arches and effects of light. this could be one of his photos too. nice result.
here our only cinema was inaugurated probably during the 1950's and closed around the 1980's. The last movie I watched there was star wars, the original number 1..
take care

Hi Luciano,
I think bright exposure on the entrance suit well as a frame to this gateway. Reading your note this is a really historical place. Fascinating.

Hello Luciano,
A lovely view down the narrow alley. You handled the lighting really well with the dark middle part and the warm tones of the wall in the background in particular. Very well done.

Ciao Luciano,
I agree that the contrast between the bright foreground and the darker tunnel is very artistic and attractive. I also like the color of the wall and the old shutters. There is a feeling of nostalgia in this simple scene. Take care!

Hello Luciano, What a charming place in Pisa. I have walked a lot around There, not only in Piazza Dei Miracoli. With Carlo and Christina and alone. beautiful composition. A nice passage under the walls, intriguing to see what is farther. Lovely colours. An interesting note about this cinema.
Of course, I remember Cristina. What a terrible story. I love adventures but she had a traumatic experience.
Best regards MAlgo.

Ciao Luciano,
Good to get some shadow detail at the expense of the less interesting slightly oe highlights. The Light Cinema sign is intriguing. Good sharpness and framing on the arch. Tfs!

Ciao Luciano,
A humble entrance to the old cinema - now a restaurant, I believe also closed nowadays as the virus still around.
A fairly shaded hall, but well shown in depth on the picture.
Buona giornata,

Ciao Luciano,
lovely arched passage to the secret cinema.
Nice effect with the light and shadow.
In the UK all cinemas are closed now. I wonder what will happen with them in the future. The worst thing: premiere of new James Bond movie has been postponed few times already :)
Very well done,
M

Hello Luciano,
A small covered passage where the dark part gives just more attention to the beautiful ocher colours of the walls and the brown shutters at the back.
Attractive composition.

Hello Luciano,
The play with light and shadows is quite symbolic here, since photography means writing with light. I know that you are not a big BW fan, but this time I think it would worth the effort for a conversion!
Best Wishes,
Gy.
PS: Thank you for faithfully keep following my series! :)

Hi Luciano.
Very interesting composition, with this play of light and shadow, which gives us the entrance arch to the street in the background, which shows us part of a facade and two doors, its strong yellow color, gives a nice contrast with the darkness at the end Of the arc.
Good perspective of the image, very pleasing to the eye.
Colorful, sharpness and luminosity are captured effectively.
Very good composition, magnificent presentation.
Have a good weekend.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hello Luciano,
:-) you gave me a short dark alley with a name 'Cinema Lumiere' written above , guiding me to look further which the cinema is no longer exists. Very misleading shot and a very good one and all.
Well, even it's no longer a cinema, I'm sure the restaurant and bar will be packed with 198 people , enjoying live entertainment. So much fun than watching a boring movies. These days most movies are so boring and unrealistic.
Thanks for sharing the alley of visualize fun.
