San Matteo and S. Ambrogio
The fresco is located in the church of San Francesco in Montefalco, on the vault of the chapel of the Assumption, decorated in the first quarter of the fifteenth century by Giovanni di Corraduccio.
The decoration on the side and back walls was lost due to the opening of the entrance door, connecting with the adjacent convent, dating back to the 16th century.
In the entrance arch, Christ and the Apostles are depicted in thirteen circles. In the right pillar Madonna del Latte.
In the vault of the cross the Four Doctors of the Church and the Four Evangelists, in the underlying triangles various Prophets and Angels.
In the WS the whole vault and the Madonna del Latte.

Another set of beautiful medieval frescoes that have been maintained reasonably well. You made good use of the light and managed very sharp photos.

Good to include the wider view of the fresco adorning the vaulted ceiling of this church, for place and context. The Madonna workshop augments the main post as well. Good colour, sharpness and lighting. Tfs!

You have captured and shown us a really sharp representation of this delightful, Medieval mural. The colours are lovely and I like how you have cropped it symmetrically.
From this view, it is difficult to tell that it is painted on a ceiling!

Hi Silvio.
This is a great photo of this part of the mural, with excellent sharpness and light control. The painting has a primitive approach to perspective, but the colours and facial expressions are quite good.
