Photographer's Note

This Very scenic and impressive (heavy) liberty style building was build in the beginning of he 20th century as the Genoa stock exchange (closed in 1994).
The fountain in the middle of piazza De Ferrari
was donated in 1936 by the Piaggio family.

very nice light and colors here Mauro...I love the fountain in the foreground as it geives a lot of interest in the whole composition!

Salut Mauro,
La fontaine et le batiment se mettent en valeur mutuellement, la composition fait que le jet de la fontaine cede la place au batiment.

Wonderful use of the lighting. It accents the textures of the building wonderfully. And the tight view with the top of the building and top of the fountain works very nicely. The water jumps skyward culminating in the central spout that makes the final connection to the building. And all so well managed throughout. Just right to give a crisp capture to to the water and a good exposure to the building. And the curving facade also brings the eye forward to that point with the fountain spout to a strong focal point. You did a great job organizing the space of the square to get this great point of view.

Mauro, dopo aver letto la critica di Paul, che vuoi che aggiunga? NOn bisognerebbe mai leggere le critiche degli altri prima di scrivere la propria! D'altro canto poi si finisce per scrivere le stesse cose. Allora dato atto che l'uyso della luce � effettivamente eccellente e che hai catturato tanti finissimi dettagli, mi soffermo sulla composizione. Che � piacevole. Il doppio taglio di fontana e palazzo (cio� il fatto che non mostri per intero entrambi) evita l'effetto cartolina e ci d� l'idea che chi ha scattato la foto ha voluto dare una (ottima) interpreazione di ci� che ha visto. Mi piace concentrarmi sulle curve orizzontali del palazzo e della vasca della fontana che fanno da contrappunto alla verticalit� (ma da dove mi vengono questi termini?) dei pilastri (colonnine)e del getto d'acqua. Sensazione finale di grande armoniosit�. Genova per noi, cantava uno.

a strong element hereis the light ,well managed and the result is very good,details and colors are fine ,nicely captured and in a good way composed,with notice to use of third for fountain,I like it.
