Pietralunga (PG)
The village of Pietralunga is located at the top of a hill overlooking the Carpinella Valley, in the inner belt of the Umbrian-Marches Apennines, between the Upper Tiber Valley and the ridge of the Serra di Burano.
It has prehistoric origins, the "Flute on human tibia", preserved in the Archaeological Museum of Perugia, the various "castellieri" scattered throughout the territory and the lithic finds are testimony to this.
The foundation of the urban center with the name of Tufi, however, can be traced back to the Umbrian people.

Hello Silvio,
The grey tower is impressive and the colourful banner makes it even more eye-catching. The row of buildings is nicely placed on a diagonal with the church at the end. Sharpness and light are again superb.

First attention, Silvio, draws the grey stones tower, immaculately shown.
Seems as the town was built around it and there are modern building on right side and older era church and tower on left.

Silvio, the tower represents a vestige of the past. It was made in cutted stones. The village contains a church visible on the left. It has a bell tower. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Hello Silvio,
A great view on a wonderfully sunny day and against a perfectly blue sky. The large stone tower looks impressive and its textures are clearly seen. The rest of the town looks very nice as well, particularly the church on the left.

Ciao Caro Silvio,

This does look like an ancient set of buildings.
The tall tower, extremely sharp and strongly placed, sits on a nicely angled line.
It makes a really good guide to the other buildings and creates a good sense of perspective.

A good angled pov with the diagonal axis of the fg tower and mid-ground building leading the eye towards the bg basilica. Excellent sharpness with a nice blue sky backdrop. Tfs!

Thanks to your enlightening notes of such a historic heritage sight which is very well illustrated with the rustic ancient truncated structure dominates pulling the eye throughput the shot. The church on the far ends is smartly included as a fine stopper. Excellent shot and much to appreciate and absorb. Congrats
