Photographer's Note
Fountain Largo Muzio Clementi - Spoleto - Perugia - Umbria
It is located in the old town, along the road that connects the church of St. Philip Blacks to the Duomo, in the wide dedicated to the musician of Spoleto Muzio Clementi origins.
The fountain is made of three tanks: the only cinnamon that comes out of the mouth of a lion is the central one of the sixteenth century, decorated in the lower part with the coat of arms of the city. Side tubs are of the later age. It is surrounded by powerful lime trees both in front and above the containment wall of the above ground.
Until 1894/6 it was located on the facade of Palazzo Mauri; Was shifted for traffic problems and was replaced with the Fountain of Porta Monterone high.

Hello Silvio,
The fountain has a slightly primitive design that makes it more charming than some more sophisticated monuments. Its simple beauty is well matched by the rough wall behind it. Both workshops provide fine close views of details. The main photo is a plain composition but nicely balanced and very well exposed.
Best regards,
Gert

Ciao Silvio,
this is really a great collection of fountains. They are all so different from each other. Some of them like this one here, probably quite old and slightly damaged but not less visually attractive.
Very well seen and captured,
M

Hi Silvio,
The fountain is well placed in the frame. The point of view is showing the details of the fountain Largo Muzio Clementi. The light is giving nice tints to the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

Hello Silvio,
Here the lion seems to come carefully out of the wall.
I like the main picture with the textures of the big stones in the wall and the details of the fountain you provide us in the WS.
Best regards, Paul

Ciao Silvio, What has Muzio Clementi in common with Spoleto? He was born in Rome and then he lived in England. When I learned to play the piano (half a century ago) I played his excellent etudes. Nice stone wall and fountain.
Best regards Malgo

Hi Silvio
That's very old public water fountain but it's beautiful if captured in the right conditions and also well processed to bring out all the details and colours as in this instance.
I love the whole length of fine gritty textures. Excellent find
Best regards
