Photographer's Note

Church of SantAndrea - Collecchio di Trevi (PG)rnrnIt is located not far from the town of Collecchio, a hamlet of Santa Maria in Valle.rnIt is a small rural structure, characterized by a large bell gable with a single archway, placed centrally.rnThe fa蓷de has a simple Romanesque portal as the only opening.rnThe simple whole has a single nave with remains of 16th century paintings: the images of Saints Rocco and Andrea are still visible. Other frescoes are probably under dull.rnIt has clear signs of aging even if it has already been the subject of a discreet restoration.rnFrom news received on the spot, the last restorations were necessary due to a flood that occurred about fifty years ago, due to the flooding of the Fosso di Santa Maria in Valle.rnThis church too, like that of San Pietro al Pettine, stood on the road that descended from Trevi towards the plain. Interesting classical funerary epigraphs have been found there, some of which are preserved in the museum of San Francesco in Trevi. An epigraph, inserted in the wall structure, is clearly visible on the lower part of the northern corner.r
