Church of Santa Scolastica

The Church of the Monastery of Santa Scolastica stands on the first oratory of San Benedetto, traces of which were discovered in 1962.
Most likely in the 9th century a second church was built on the pre-existing one, as can be deduced from the remains that emerge from under the bell tower and present in the more modern church. A third church, consecrated in 980 by Benedict VII, was built in the Romanesque style and, in 1300, was rebuilt, keeping the dimensions unchanged, according to the Gothic-Cistercian style.
