Photographer's Note
The girl below is looking for the tomb of San Giovenale, but I will leave you waiting and I will show you next time. We are in the cathedral of Narni, the most important church in this town, and dedicated to San Giovenale, a bishop who died on May 3, 376. It was built on the site where, probably, a building of worship dedicated to the saint already existed. The construction of the current church began in 1047, adjacent to the city walls and after an interruption due to the flood of 1053, it was completed and consecrated in 1145. Behind the altar on the left there is a small door that leads to the real chapel. in the city walls with the sarcophagus of San Giovenale in sandstone decorated with reliefs of the seventh century, which later became the Sacellum of San Cassio with the translation of the relics of the first saint under the altar of the church. See the WS too!

a marvelous church !
curious the contrast of the main nave with its rustic aspect (but beautiful) and the area around the tomb and altar, so much more rich. TFs this place I never had seen.

Hello Luciano,
What a very attractive picture that allows us to look into different directions.
The many long lines provide an excellent composition.
An unusual view of a cathedral interior. So is also your first photo in the WS.
A beautiful trio that makes us long to visit this cathedral.
I wonder what the girl will find when she enters the crypt containing the tomb ...
Best regards, Paul

Boungiorno Luciano,
Good scale from diff. levels inside the church. The hall had a bright light condition which brought out good sight of the objects.
Arrivederci,

Hello Luciano,
Photographically the main picture is the most interesting, with the many lines in all directions and the nice depth created by the two parallel lines. Architecturally I prefer the view in WS #2, where we see a modestly decorated and quite spacious room. All photos are as usual perfectly exposed and very sharp.

Ciao Luciano
I like the clever way you composed this image by including two different levels, almost like two different worlds (hell and heaven??).
The WS images are also very nice - one showing the symmetry of the interior and the other with various shapes and lines.
Best wishes

Hello Luciano,
An excellent vertical view of the interior of the church, which also includes the stairs down to the tombs. The stairs in the middle add a nice diagonal line as well. The colours and light are warm and pleasant.

Ciao Caro Luciano,
Have you ever wondered if many people from the present era will be remembered in 1,700 years time!
Back to your photograph, which contains so many interesting details, it is almost like a magical mystery tour!
Your w/s are very useful in revealing the scope and the materials of the most amazing decorations, whilst this photograph effectively sets the scene.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Luciano,
Of course the Venetians and Ottomans were also fond of lion statues, symbolic of power. A good downward pov of the stairs and the curious tourist. It often pays to look for any crypts in old Italian churches, or chapels, as they have many hidden surprises. The 1 Euro entry fee is money well spent. Tfs!

Hi Luciano.
The three photos of the Narni cathedral are spectacular, in this main one we see a beautiful composition with the two levels of the church, fantastic that central nave with the columns that separate the two sides and in the other of the WS a beauty of color with the marbles used.
Very good color that highlights the strength of the image.
Superb brightness and sharpness management to capture details.
Very well done. I like it.
Have a good start to the week.
Very best regards.

Ciao Luciano
A strong impression that you used a tridimensional camera is conveyed by all these numerous points of interest in height, width and depth displayed on two stories!
My eyes traveled a lot in there and I consider it's a mark of admiration dedicated to this sumptuous capture.
Ciao.

The sharp quality is so good, I could imagine myself standing here!
The figure by the doorway to the crypt is a good focal point.
Excellent light management.

HI!
Good composition, great angle, although ... the person at the bottom of the stairs is "surplus", at least the one who looks like a "real tourist". But still a great photo!
