The rock necropolis of Falerii Novi - Faleri - Fabrica di Roma (VT)
Falerii Novi is the Roman city built in the third century BC to deport the inhabitants of Falerii Veteres. Its walls can be discovered along the road between Fabrica di Roma and Civita Castellana, near the hamlet of Faleri. Once you have taken the crossroads to the Falisco Park, you will reach the most well-known entrance, the Porta di Giove.
The rupestrian necropolis are located near, along the ancient Via Amerina, of which large tracts of cobbles are preserved: it is one of the lesser known Roman roads, little attested in ancient sources and epigraphic documents despite having played a role of primary importance as fast communication route, mainly for commercial purposes.

Hi Silvio
A really well framed image. I like the dark foreground showing and emphasising the doors and windows of this city. Lovely colours and lighting.

Hello Silvio,
This is a well composed photo of the rock necropolis seen through a special kind of gate. We see a very interesting view, and the photo is very well exposed. I like the light brown rock wall with the green frames.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Silvio,
Vous avez eu une bonne idée d'utiliser l'ouverte pour cadrer la scène. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de la nécropole. La lumière fait ressortir les couleurs. Bonne soirée.

Ciao Caro Silvio,
Roman remains are immediately interesting but do not always make attractive photographs for other viewers. You have been extremely thoughtful, using the irregular, silhouetted surround, to create that interest and create a link to the irregular shapes in the opposite cliff face.
My warm regards,
Bev 😊

Ciao Silvio, non avrei mai pensato che il centro Italia fosse cosi' ricca di necropoli ma tu stai sfoggiando una serie infinita davvero interessante. E stavolta si riconosce il tuo stile con la classica cornice fornita dal luogo. Buona settimana e complimenti,Luciano

Hello Silvio,
Great presentation of the rock necropolis.
It seems you were inside such an excavated place destined for a grave. Excellent framing.

Ciao Silvio,
As amazing as the ancient sites are when one thinks about the history, they are sometimes incredible difficult to photograph well simply becaue not much is left. Here the brilliant framing made a huge difference. The resilting effect is very eye catching.
Excellent work,

Hello Silvio.
A sensational composition, framing in this hollowness that I suppose is a tomb the opposite wall with the various tombs carved into the rock.
Magnificent color that gives a lot of chromatic richness to the image.
Very good management of lighting and sharpness.
Well done. I like.
I wish you a pleasant week.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Ciao Silvio,
I like the shape of this natural frame that you found. The contrast of the dark frame and all the greenery is nice, and the ruins are interesting, too. Take care!
