Photographer's Note
Piazza San Pietro, 31st January 2006, last day of Bethlehem in that Christmas season. The whole stay in Rome that time was very ugly weather, but it also provided me with this pretty blue sky. It was a business trip that time, and I had luck I was passing through the square at that time and had a tripod with me.
Image manipulation: increased value of black point in levels and did a bit of converging verticals correction
Exposure time is 13s, not 0.

It looks like you came to the right place at the right time. Very good combination of natural and artificial light. Such conditions only last few minutes each evening. Very good white balance, correct exposure and no visible noise.

Hi Adrian,
surely it's always a great place! Light is absolutely magic. Excellent light management.

Beautiful. Nice to see St. Peter's Square without the teeming crowds, and while this would be a great scene by itself, the nativity scene makes this shot yours.
