Photographer's Note

One of the main reasons to visit Siauliai is to see the unusual Hill of Crosses. Generally the weather and light weren't cooperating with me, but here they seemed to work. Hello dear Chris,
Even an old graveyard can be an interesting theme for a good photographer. Very good pov. Nice cloudy sky creates a goo background to your compo.

Hello Chris, from this point of view some crosses dominate the scene, and then we see many more in the bg which seem to act as a border to the picture.
The blue sky and its pattern of clouds is a fitting background.

Hello Chris, I know the photos from this strange place. Also in Poland near the border is similar hill full of crosses. Excellent composition with attractive sky. Strange this small cross on the bigger one.

I like your low pov of those crosses, it makes them bigger and taller as if reaching the sky. I wish I could find some very old cemetery in the area dating back to beginning of U.S. west. Good lighting and sharp details, I like the clouds. Well done, tfs.

yeah, this is a location that is totally foreign to me, never heard of it before.

I take it you wanted to leave out the bottom portions because something was making the scene look ugly :)
card perhaps, a road perhaps?

the large clouds in the sky really work well as a secondary subject, without them it wouldn't have the same effect overall.

love this subject, too bad we don't see mor cemetaries on TE

Dear Chris,
The tight framing highlights the cross. The shooting allows you to see the details of the cross and clouds. The good brightness enhances the colors of the image.
