WE dream of blue skies, we dream of clear crisp winter mornings. When I took this picture I was dreaming of Spring, of clement temperatures, of thick raindrops falling on green grass. WE always dream of something that is not there...sun, rain, peace...

Nous r瞚ons d'un ciel bleu, de neige, d'un froid sec. Au moment o� je prenais cette photo je r瞚ais du printemps, de temp廨atures cl幦entes, de grosses gouttes de pluie qui tombaient sur le gazon bien vert. Il me semble que nous r瞚ons souvent de choses qui sont pas l�...le soleil, la pluie, la paix...

Hello John,
lovely capture of this winter mood with blue sky and ground fog. Good choice of square format with the big tree well framed. I especially like the buildings slightly visible through the fog. Great atmosphere, I like it.

Hello John,
A simple but very effective composition truly evocative of a crisp winter's day. The bare branches look great against the pale blue sky and I like very much the misty atmosphere. Superb sharpness.

Hello John,
This is a nice dream. I like the simple composition and the "evolution" from fog on the ground to the blue sky above. The fog serves as the "bokeh" in your shot and allows the viewer to appreciate every single branch of the tree. Very nicely done.

Misschien is deze foto wel een voorbeeld voor een kerst of nieuwjaar kaart, zacht van grond toon, de boom en de weinge sneeuw zorgt voor een goede samenstelling.
Ik droom wel van sneeuw maar liefst niet voor langere tijd.

Bonjour John,

Tu as bien fait de la sortir du disque dur celle-ci elle est superbe, j'aime beaucoup la finesse de l'image et notamment la nettet� de l'image qui donne aux branches de cet arbre une impression de fragilit�, surtout avec le froid qu'il devait y avoir � cette 廧oque l�. Le deuxi鋗e arbre en arri鋨e plan 廦uilibre bien l'image et ce brouillard givrant donne un tr鋊 bon contraste avec ce beau ciel bleu. Photo toute simple mais si bien compos嶪, merci John. Moi aussi j'attends le froid sec avec impatience !!!

L'atmosphere est bien speciale et ta photo John le traduit tellement bien. Le cliche que tu sors de ta poche et qui annonce un hiver peu banal. Avec nos photo on surviverait facilement et l'ame satisfait. Merci pour ce spectacle hivernal. Meilleures maities,

Bonjour John.
La photo est simple mais tr鋊 belle. Les deux arbres plus la neige et la brume font un ensemble qu'on ne peut qu'admirer.
J'aime le passage de la brume au beau ciel bleu.

Hi John,
This is indeed a great looking winter shot. That light fog goes well with snowy field. Strong sharpening makes smaller this look a bit restless though.
Here in Tampere we have fianlly below zero sunny weather, but no snow yet.

j'aime la brume qui estompe les maisons et 憝oque ind幯iablement un r瞚e...
ta note 憝oque plus l'insatisfaction de l'instant, encore que concernant la paix c'est une insatisfaction qui perdure depuis ???? toujours peut 皻re....
enfin la photo elle est tout � fait paisible et reposante m瘱e
quant qu'� la m彋廩 des Alpes 蓷 y est la neige tombe � beaux et gros flocons, de quoi pr憝oir de belles f皻es de fin d'ann嶪 !☺

Note amusante.
Et surtout tr鋊 jolie photo.
Ton cadrage est vraiment bon avec la totalit� de l'arbre de l'avant plan et la pr廥ence de celui de droite. Les maisons que l'on devine dans la brume � gauche rompent la monotonie. La luminosit� est superbe!

yes, we always dream of something... something related to the future, mostly... and how many of us deeply appreciate the current moment which we have and which will never repeat itself? Fortunately, we have a camera to capture the moment and to return to it in our memory which revives our feelings - and dreams! :-)
Excellent capture of a tree - of TWO trees, actually... excellent capture of the mood of the moment in the snow.
I always think: there's something very special about bare trees, especially in winter or in frost..
