I love blackberries, a photo from Luxembourg, South

Photographer's Note

I know...it's unusual...but I have an excuse! My wife bought me a new macro lense for my birthday in june...and it arrived yesterday. The sun made an appearance today, so...I had to try it, an that is what I did.The fly was enough 'gourmet' not to let go of its blackberry, and I was friendly enoughnot to disturb it.
No tripod for this one.
Je sais, c'est inhabituel...mais j'ai une excuse valable! En juin ma femme m'a fait cadeau d'un objectif macro 2.8/50 pour mon Sony A-350 et je l'ai depuis hier. Aujourd'hui le soleil a fait une apparition et...tout naturellement j'ai d� l'essayer. La mouche a bien coop廨� et moi de mon c矌� je l'ai laiss� finir son repas.
Pas de statif!

nice macro photo! for one of your first macro photos it is not bad at all! specially with no tripod

I've got very frustrated with my macro lens as the images never come out as I want them. I think it is the most difficult genre of photography. I probably couldn't do any better but I think you needed a wider DOF here, so the whole fly and blackberry were in focus but keeping the backgound just like you have here. Probably something like f8 or 9 would have worked well here. Nevertheless the fly's head, body and foreground wing are all pin-sharp. Keep up the experiments.
