颷ye bye Ohrid�

These are the last pictures of Ohrid that I show.
I have others but they are either not interesting enough or of too poor quality.

The different photos in the WS and my main picture do not belong together in terms of theme.
They𠆫e a bit of a hodgepodge with which I end the series about Lake Ohrid.

This time I resolutely chose my main photo but maybe you have a different opinion.
I took this photo at the end of a long pier in the lake that led to some rocks just below and above the water's surface.
It was possible to walk on these rocks but not without getting wet shoes. I don't remember whether the people you see in the photo came with that boat or walked over the rocks.
Some visitors walked on the rocks. It wasn't dangerous but as I mentioned not possible while keeping your shoes dry.

As I said before, it was not my intention to show so many pictures of Ohrid and its surroundings.
On the spot, I even thought it was a bit too touristy to fully convince me. Years later, reviewing my photos, I came to the conclusion that Ohrid really is a beautiful and charming town :)

Hi Paul,
This is a brilliant shot. You have the panoramic view of the town at the blue hour and the fantastic foreground with interesting rock formations. Of course the cherry on the cake are the people. Three silhouettes looking like a family and holding hands. This adds a really great effect -so much interest.
Excellent effect and the best choice for the main photo as well.

Fantastic blue hour over the lake scenery, Paul.
The choppy water gave a dynamic scale to the evening scene and good scale by the people and boat moored alongside.
Done well with the camera setting on this.

Hello Paul,
You wind up your series of photos from Ohrid with a nice collection where basically anyone could have been a main upload (have I said that before?). The one you have chosen is clearly the most dramatic, considering the possibly slippery pier and the waves that could have made more than you shoes wet. The three persons are good eye-catchers. In case they arrived with that boat they seem to have lost it. The lights in the background make the town look much more inviting.

Beautiful blue hour photo, with the first lights in the evening. But look at my photo here:

It looks like exactly the same place (even the boat seems the same) but the level of water is higher in your picture.

Hello Paul,

A series of excellent photographs, showing both atmospheres and sharp, interesting details. Any could have been a main post but this was a good choice as a farewell photograph, the rocky pier, slowly being covered by water, with the city's lights twinkling in the distance.

Your photographs do not suggest an overtly, touristy place to me.

Hallo Paul,
Een mooi zomeravondfoto met verschillende tinten blauw die de stad aan de andere kant van het water waar de lichten inmiddels aan waren mooi omgeven. De oude en grotendeels ondergelopen pier is een goede voorgrond, zeker ook met de drie mensen op het eind en het boot er rechts van.

Sa vasim fotografijam Ohrida stalno me podsecate na moju mladost i proveden deo zivota u Makedoniji.
Interesantan pogled i trenutak, dobar tekst ...
Lepa luka i deo grada u pozadini sa upaljenim lampama. dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom sa posetiocima.
Dobar rad sa lepom fotografijom u radionci.
Uradili ste bas lepe fotografije o Ohridu.

Hello Paul, five excellent pictures that conclude this series.
You have introduced me to a part of the world that I am totally unfamiliar with, so I have enjoyed all the scenes.
I like the blue hour shot on the lake front with the reflected lights shining across the water.

What a beautiful set of photos to finish your Ohrid series. I do agree with your choice of the main one because of the foreground leading towards the distant lights but also the people, the boat and the Macedonian flag. But all three images are interesing andworth sharing on TE.
Perfect exposure and lovely colours.

Beautiful nocturne with good play between the blue water and the yellow lights of the town. The human presence is a good addition to the scene, which is well composed with the rocks protruding towards the water.
