Photographer's Note

A short walking track from the Monastery of the Archangel Gabriel leads to this superb lookout over the town of Prilep, which has about 70,000 inhabitants. The moon at top left was a bonus. Taken just before sunset.

Lep pogled, dobar tekst ...
Lepi krovovi kuca i planina u pozadini, lep deo grada.

Chris, the afternoon golden light is shining on Prilep orange roofs. The lookout offers a stuning view of the town and creates a deep visual field. The houses occupy the valley where as mountains appear in the far bg. Fine colors, perfect image quality, regards.

Hello Chris,
The mountains and brick roofs make me think of central Anatolia. The evening light is beautifully warm, but I wouldn't have noticed the moon unless you had forced me to look for it.

funny how the moon now sticks out SO prominantly in the shot since you mentioned it in the note..now I see it all the time haha. wonderful depth to this shot as the homes pretty much continue on for as long as they can until the mountains.

Another interesting capture & TE entry in your gallery from Prilep in Macedonia, where my fathers family came from in the early twenties when almost all Ottoman marks was been cleaned !
Nice -most probably late afternoon- capture with a nice golden ligth and perfect sharpness.

Hello Chris,
A beautiful view of the town, which stretches for quite a distance towards the slopes in the background. The warm colours were very nice and especially the orange roofs of the houses look great in the sunlight.

Golden afternoon light gave the red roof-tops houses an extra shine and a beautiful ambiance, Chris.
Good view across the valley to the mountains ridge.
Never saw a picture from this town, nor visited.

a nice wider view of the town, showing as it is surrounded by mountains. I liked the repetition of the houses in otoman style.
