That couple had a peaceful day for sure in that amazing wild place.

The Blue Grotto (Maltese: Taht il-Hnejja) is actually a number of sea caverns on the south coast of Malta, east of the fishermen's harbour Wied iż-Żurrieq near the village of Żurrieq. It is located right across from the small uninhabited islet of Filfla.

Every day from sunrise until about 1 pm a unique sight can be observed here. The location of the cave combined with the sunlight lead to the water mirroring showing numerous shades of blue. Several caverns mirror the brilliant phosphorescent colours of the underwater flora; other caverns show a deep dark shade of blue.
The Blue Grotto is a popular destination for tourists on the island of Malta with boat trips to visit the caves, scuba diving snorkeling and rock climbing being the most popular activities here. It also has some typical local restaurants that offer good food with stunning views. The location has been used many times by filmmakers, including a Milky Way advert showing a cliff diver jumping 30m into the sea, numerous promotional videos about Malta, a scene of the 2004 film Troy and most recently in a RAI TV 2 filming for the popular travel programme Sereno Variabile.

Hello Daniel,
This is very well composed. The bright little boat really jumps out of this mainly grey and brown surroundings and the absence of sky makes the steep rock look immensely high.

key color contrasts here my friend, it works well to have the bright vivid blues with the pastel beige in the bg.

this is where the caves are correct?

Interesting composition with the frame divided into two distinct parts with this jewel of a boat immediately capturing the viewer's attendtion.
It looks as if it were emerging from the shadows into the light. Well spotted!

Un cadrage vertical qui donne une bonne indication de la hauteur vertigineuse de cette falaise qui plonge dans les eaux maltaises.Le petit bateau multicolore accentue encore plus cette impression.

Hi Daniel,
Very nice shot that reminds me the calanques around Marseille in France. The same kind of white cliffs that have wonderful colours on sunset or sunrise. Moreover the contrasts of light in your picture add relief to the picture. The coloured boat bottom of the cliff catches our attention and is a good scale for the cliffs.

What a magical place. To think that it is in Malta, one of the most well known places in Europe and yet looks so untouched and unpopulated. I like the vertical frame, the excellent use of perspective and the wonderful colours and light. Stunning shot, congrats.

That's a very nice composition,and really interesting.
The bright blue of the boat is emerging from the grey of the rock.Good management of the light and nice balance between light and shadow.
