Photographer's Note
A scene at Marsaxlokk's fishing harbour, Malta.
Marsaxlokk is Malta’s largest fishing village accommodating 250 registered fishing vessels, these colourful boats come in a diverse range of shapes and sizes ranging from the large modern “skuna”, the medium sized traditional maltese boat “luzzu” to the small “fregatina” (rowing boat). Despite the different sizes and ages of the boats, all the boats are painted in the traditional colours of yellow, blue and green, many of them have the “eyes of Osiris” on the prow of the boat.

Hello Paul,
I like this optimistic sunny colourful photo! Very lovely rich colours, lots of sunshine... and a diligent painter who makes the boats look so beautiful and, in a way, very original.
I like the POV showing both the boats and the painter. Good composition! Thanks to deep shadows and bright sunshine the image has depth and looks very pleasant for the eyes.
best regards,
Elena

Hi Paul,
Interesting work related picture. Good to see one boat in the middle of repairs and another finished one for comparision. Good contrasts. Motorcycle is a fun detail too.

Salut Paul,
The colorful boats were catching my eyes while walking in your wonderful gallery. Here more nice capture for me showing us painted and unpainted boats in different depth. Perfect sharpness under good lights. Messy village texture at background smells really Mediterranean, wonderful. Congratulations.

Bonjour Paul
Les couleurs du neuf et du vieux qui s'opposent. L'artisan qui travaille patiemment sur son embarcation peut comparer avec le produit fini.
Belle capture
