Sveti Stefan Nocturne., a photo from Budva, South

Photographer's Note

I do not think I have ever seen a post on TE of Sveti Stefan at night, so here's the view from the mid range Hotel Adrovic I stayed in overlooking the 5 star island resort, which was way over my budget. Unfortunately the lights were only switched on well after the blue hour had peaked. I've applied dust and scratches to selected areas as a form of neat image to remove the grain. Hope you like it.

Hello Chris,
My first thought was that I had probably not seen a photo from here at night, so you are probably right. This is a first. It doesn't matter to me that the blue hour may have peaked, the discreet lights shining from the luxury resort and the much brighter ones on the mainland still create a nice atmosphere. By staying at that midrange hotel you had a better view than those who wasted their money down there. You managed the light well, also in the darker areas.
You have been less busy on TE lately, but suddenly you post two pictures within a few hours. ;-)

Chris, the island where the 5 star hotel is established is linked to the mainland by a bridge. The city is illuminated by night, good pov from an elevated point. Fine colors, good image quality and excellent light management, regards.

Hello Chris,
A beautiful view of this small island in the middle of the dark blue sea. The lights in the windows of the houses stand out so well and add a lovely warm glow to the centre of the composition. Superb sharpness as well.

magnificent night shot from a high point towards the famous island in Montenegro, a luxurious hotel nowadays.
Picture is clear and distinct, though I do not think there is a need for a polarizing-filter at night's photography.
