Daily Life View of Kotor, a photo from Kotor, South

Photographer's Note

The photo here is a small daily life perspective of Kotor which is a fortified town on Montenegro𠏋 Adriatic coast. The fortification (constructed and reconstructed over the past centuries), has a massive wall which is now mostly eroded away and is partially seen above.

Also seen is a stepped path (which stretches for 4.5 km (3 mi) directly above the city). These many many steps are quite warn away, loose, and makes a rough super steep climb. 1/3rd the way up leads to the Lady of Remedy church (seen far above and is closed) and then onward to the Kotor Fortress of St. John far far above (still 2/3rds from the top � best be in good shape and happy with heights.

Lots of friendly cats in the town and along the path. I was not in Kotor long enough to make the full climb and return. I would expect the views from the very top are spectacular.

I will post a more complete photo of this path and town later.

Hello David,
The laundry reveals there are people here and they're active. Otherwise this daily life is mainly about buildings and nature. Which is all right with me, because it's a well taken photo with strong contrasts between the very ordinary buildings at the foot of the hill and the ruins, or half ruins, high above. I like the good light and intense colors very much. I've been here for a few days a couple of times so I basically recognize this view well. I also didn't bother to make it to the top of the hill.

The colourful laundry acts a bit like a rainbow.
For sure it's very eye-catching.
That must be a very steep climb to the top and churchgoers will arrive exhausted in the Lady of Remedy church.
In any case, Kotor looks very attractive here.
Excellent clear and sharp picture.

That church requires quite a climb. I didn't do it but did drive up the scary road that climbs to the top oh the ridge line. Well taken, great DOF and sharpness.

Hello David, Nice view of these houses in Kotor, probably away of the usual tourist's route. Lovely houses with the red roof and the laundry is always attractive to see. Interesting church and the castle above it.
