Hazy winters day, a photo from Flevoland, North

Photographer's Note

A typical Dutch polder landscape on a cloudy winters day. Fog was coming down as well and no sun to be seen late in the afternoon when driving back home.

In between the double row of trees there is a road. Is that the reason the trees are there? At least that is the feeling I get when driving through this empty land.

The shear emptyness is good for wind energy production as well ... the less obstruction for wind, the more energy. The Flevoland province is full of them, they are everywhere.

Maybe this photo just shows the feeling I get with the Flevoland province but that is just my personal opinion, what is yours?

you really choised the right format to describe the Dutch mood. the comp works very well and the windmills takes good attension.

Hello Harko,

we only have three wind turbines on the island but there are plans for another 178 which will be almost twice the size of the present ones. Personally I like them, I think they're very aesthetic but I'm not sure how many it would take to ruin a beautiful landscape. Your shot is very simple, well composed and I like it. Well seen.
