Havensafari # 2, a photo from Noord-Holland, South

Amsterdam, Havensafari - Nordzeekanaal.
il percorso del "safari portuale" di quest'anno tocca diversi punti del porto di Amsterdam, navigando per gran parte lungo il Nordzeekanaal. qui siamo presso una delle diverse cave (non chiedetemi di quale materiale si tratta che' non lo ricordo piu') e quelli che vedete sono i colori naturali - a parte il contrasto leggermente aumentato, non ho modificato ne' desaturato nulla. il cielo era molto nuvoloso e questo materiale minerale (credo) aveva un riflesso particolare, forse per via dei minuscoli cristalli che sembravano catturare la poca luce disponibile.

this year's "port safari" route follows mostly the Nordzeekanaal, from the petroleum area through the mines up to some of the big shipyards.
what you see in today's photo is one of the several mines along the Nordzeekanaal (do not ask me which material this is because I forgot) and the colours are not retouched or desaturated - apart from a slight increase in contrast, the rest is pretty much how I saw it with my eyes. there wasn't much light during the first hour of the safari, but the fine crystals of this mineral were amplifying it, creating this beautiful warm effect.

it's a colored B&W post, with snow on the black hill. No animal seen during your safari?

for a moment i thought you had uploaded a nature, landscape shot..i was thrilled but but now i am dissapointed seeing the offcial category as event. this could be architecture too. i have seen alot of frames around in the upper reaches, but the light on the mountain is just superb, a surreal colour..never seen anything like..

must have been a fascinating safar..i want to see all of the shots..

Das ist ein sehr interssantes Licht hier. Das Bild kommt mir vor wie eine Erinnerung, die pers霵lich ist, aber nur vage vorhanden. Wo das Bild entstanden ist, ist unerheblich. Wie bei Hopper bin ich hier eingeladen hinzuschauen, werde aber nicht mit ein bezogen. Ich sehe eine Reise, deren Anfang und Ende mir unbekannt sind. Es gibt hier keine Menschen zu sehen aber es gibt eine Andeutung. Das Licht liegt 暅er der Strecke wie ein Tunnel und die Wolken h鄚gen wie eine Bleiplatte am Himmel. Gruss, Frank

This is a stunningly beautiful photo from an ugly place. Certainly worth more than 6 meagre points (Yes, I know they are not important). I really like this composition of the dark clouds and the bleak light upon that silvery heap of whatever it is. And the red sign in the corner. Very good.
