Hello Gerrit,
Considering that there are actually very few colours here, this is a strangely colourful picture. Maybe it's because of the fine reflections in the slightly rippled water, and the way the light is filtered through the naked branches of the trees.

Hello Gerrit,
The very pleasant light helps bring out the detail in the architecture to best advantage. I like the point of view looking obliquely across the canal. Also, the way the trees now shorn of their leaves stand out against the nicely lit autumn sky. A very attractive image truly evocative of the season.

It's obviously what inspired your famous painters and certainly inspires this photo. This is definitely one of your best photos and looks like something Jaap might have done. A fascinating view of Amsterdam captured with a splendid light and really lovely reflections. I love those canals with the barges. The colours tonalities are very special here, so warm and so vivid.

Tja...zo te zien hebben we de kleurrijke herfst achter de rug Gerrit en de bomen zijn kaal,dit heeft echter het voordeel dat de mooie grchtengevels extra goed te zien zijn.
Mooi licht op de huizen en een fijn weerspiegeling in het water.
Fijne avond.
