BRESKENS: THE NETHERLANDS
Almost two month ago, my bike trip came along this wonderful marina of Breskens.
This is my tirth picture of the Marina.
HISTORY:
The same note of previous
The Marina was developed in the beginning of the 1950’s, short after WW II
The village of Breskens was traditionally known to be a fishing village. By the start of the 1950’s, the number of recreational yachts at the fishing pier increased to approximately six or seven. Thanks to contributions of the local catering industry, complemented with a generous donation of the Bruxelles Royal Yachting Club and the help of all local sailers, our first Marina became a reality.
TODAY:
The marina of Breskens offers 580 permanent berths and 100 places for passers-by at the mouth of the Western Scheldt. Located on the Zeeland Flemish coast and on the border with Flanders, it is an ideal base for boat trips to and from France, the Flemish inland and the Dutch Delta area.
A popular port for both motor yachts and sailors.
I hope you like it

Bonjour, cher ami John,
l'on se croirait en plein mois d'août à travers cette prise de vue mettant en valeur cette marina avec les voiliers formant un entrelacs de mâts.
Bien réalisé, comme d'habitude.
Amitiés.

Hi John,
yes, I think I remember this beautiful place from a previous photo. The boats are so elegant.
Great elevated point of view here. The white color of the boats goes very well with the blue tones dominating the view.
Excellent capture,
M

Hello John,
The forest of white boats reflected in the water makes a great impression, but the real strength of the photo is the long jetty and the man coming towards us carrying his dog. The brightness surrounding him and his long shadow are excellently captured and show us your good perception of what a fine composition constitutes.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello John, you had a good high point of view which enabled you to include so much of the marina, the yachts and their reflections.
The jetty is a very good lead in line.
Excellent sharp shot.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi John,
The mast of the boats have a graphical effect. The point of view is showing the details of the boats. The quality of the light beautifies the colors. Have a nice day.

Hallo John,
Vele groeten, Paul

Hello John!
Informative note, and among the flood of sailing boats, the guy with his dog and shadow really stands out. Perfect timing!

Hello John,
How far did you have to cycle from home to reach this marina?
Your viewpoint has enabled you to make good use of the long wooden jetty, and you were fortunate that a figure was using it. Not only does he animate the scene (perhaps carrying a pet) but his long shadow informs us about the time of day and the sunny conditions.
I like all the shimmering reflections and how that of the tall pole on the left, balances the very tall masts on the right.
This must have pleased you when you came to review it on your computer.
Have a great w/e,
Bev :-)

Hi John
A captivating image - a neat boat marina. I bet it's always inviting, couldn't resist! It's a great shot, absolutely love it. That guy is lively as a vital point of reference. You should ask the marina if they would like to buy a large print of this to put up in their restaurant! Congrats
Best regards

Hallo John, that parking for boats is well organized. A wooden pontoon allows to reach each yacht or sailing boat moored in that marina. The reflections on the calm water and the many masts are pleasant to see. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hallo John,
Het was een prachtig heldere en kalme dag. De masten van de jachten zijn heel mooi te zien tegen de blauwe lucht, als ook gespiegeld in het kalme water. De lange houten pier zorgt voor een mooie schuine lijn aan de linkerkant.

Hello John,
This Marina is very well shown here. The water was quite beautiful and bluish on that sunny day. You got a great shot. The descriptive note about the place is also quite interesting.

Dag John,

Hi John,
Nice reflections in the still water with the long wooden pier at left adding excellent linear perspective. Good sharpness too. The man carrying a dog adds a fine focal point. Tfs!

HI JOHN.
A splendid marina with this large number of yachts, moored in the port, a beautiful effect of so many masts, a great perspective given by this wooden walkway, where a man who seems to me is carrying a dog in his arms is walking.
Sharpness, lighting, color, and the magnificent composition; they are all perfectly realized factors, in this precious image.
Well done. I like very much.
You have a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.
