Photographer's Note
Two hours in pouring rain to get this shot...shows that the markII is not just a high speed machine.
Taken in Nittedal church yard, looking south towards Oslo.
I have only cropped the photo to quadratic format on the sides..otherwise this shot has just had the usual post production work on the raw file.

Wow what a great picture you are to the point, the colours are well composed with blue, violet and the black of the trees' silouhette. I really love the lightning. However, did this shot needed some security measures??
Thanks for sharing.

Brilliant shot. It was definately worth the wait in the rain! I like the outline of the trees, and the detail of the lightning itself is very sharp.

Nice lightening shot! The two bolts framed by the two trees is very lucky indeed. I would be tempted to crop this shot a little as there is a lot of space at the bottom which is not needed, and you could crop closer on the sides. See my WS. Well captured!

impressionnant et richement coloré. Il n'y a pas en plus de surexposirion due à la longeur du temps de pose.

Excellent picture. Well done. May I suggest something next time you try to make that same picture. While the shutter is open for 22 seconds (and I believe it could be open for a longer period), if you happen to have a flash, do what is called "light painting". That is to say you walk around on the right handside or the lef handside of the spot, making sure that you cannot be seen in the camera, then trigger the flash several times to put some light on the foreground. This would enhance details of the forground that would balance the strong effect of the lightning. But nevertheless your picture is really at the top. It was just a matter of making it a little bit different.

I've never been in situation to capture lightning. Briliant photo. I like POV and composition although it's imposible to prepare that everything would be good. Very good framed with trees and good sharpness and colors. Very nice shot.

Top shot Nathan. So sharp and clear and it was definitely worth getting wet for. Pity you couldn't grab the thunder as well! A church yard is a fitting vantage point to capture a dramatic scene of this kind. Excellent silhouette detail in trees and skyline. Brilliant!

Impressive shot! two hours of patience but with a wonderful final result..
the double lightning between the trees is a superb composition, the sky is terrific. I love the intense contrast with the trees silhouettes in the bottom of the photo.
Congrats
