Photographer's Note

This is another picture from the hike to Besseggen, one of the most popular hikes in Norway. My dad is here making progress on the trail, 500 meters above Lake Gjende.

This is among some of the highest peaks in Norway, and Lake Gjende serves as the gate to many of them. A popular way to climb Besseggen is to take the boat (in the background) halfway across Lake Gjende and hike back to the cabin in the end of the lake. It's one amazing hike for sure.

Besseggen itself is a steep climb the last bit up to the top of the mountain. This steep climb is what makes this a famous hike. I'll soon share more photos from when we approached the steep part.
