Autumn Mood 5, a photo from Sor-Trondelag, South

Photographer's Note

The autumn of 2011 started with storm in the middle of September that brought down most of the leaves, and ended with a heavy storm last weekend that brought us some serious snow!

In between we had a great autumn, for instance November 2011 was the warmest for over a century.

The present image was taken on my last mountain trip for the season, even in this altitude the temperature was better than many summer days.

The juniper adds some fresh green to the scenery, otherwise nature is ready for winter. However the red tree is really standing out, seems like it was better able to keep the foliage during the storm. They are few and far between but they really stood out in nature this day�

And I don㦙 even know what kind of tree it is! Anyone for help?

G鼜 at jeg legger inn et bilde rett etter deg der jeg forteller om den altfor varme h鷭ten vi har hatt... N� har vi i alle fall f廞t en halv cm og litt smak av vinter her i Bergen.

This picture is nice, and in a way it also tells a bit about the Norwegian autumn this year (combined with a good note as well).

Hi Pablo,

The road is sending my eye toward the trees in the background which is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the trees. The late morning light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Pablo,
A very well composed and colourful nature picture. Several elements are important for the beauty of this photo: the road dividing in two and in the same time showing us the differences in relief, the fence in the left corner with the wooden battens, placed somewhat disorderly, the different colours in the nature with that tree with the red leaves asking everyone's attention and the nice view of the mountain slope in the distance.

Very nice composition with wonderful color of a tree in the center of the frame and good presentation with succesful light management, saharpness and contrast. Curved path has added beautiful movement to the image in the foreground.

Hi Pablo.
Can't help with the type of tree, but I love the magnificent splash of colour it provides in this shot. Very pleasing composition, with the roads and fences making some nice angles and a good highlight in the glancing sunlight. Sharp as a tack, too. I've just arrived in Toulouse, and it's my first chance to experience a northern hemisphere Autumn since 1974!

Everything looks so beautiful here. The wooden fence on the left is well placed with one of the roads going by the side of it. The colors of the nature are superb, specially the red ones. Lovely landscape with beautiful colors and sharpness.

Hi Pablo,
The red-leaf tree really stands out like a bonfire against the dark leafless trees around and the bluish forest in the background ! The sunny foreground completes the happy scenery, and the crossroads makes us want to be there taking part in the trek !
Congratulations for capturing such a wonderful scenery ! They are rare your photos that don't include a red eye-catcher :-)) But this time, it wasn't a house or a barn !
As for the tree, sorry not to be able to help. There is only one option : Go back there next spring and pick a leaf in order to find out the species !

excellent job, the framing is marvelous with the fences, the road and the trees well positioned. the red hues of the tree against the blue background created a nice contrast. excellent ligh. beautiful job.
here we had a week with hot and sunny dry days, now it is a grey fresh morning.

wonderful scene here.
the lighting on the left side of the frame/fence is what makes this photo a great one instead of a good one. the colors are very atumnal, just what you'd want in a november scene.

Again it's the quality of the light here which makes the image so vibrant and alive. Autumn is a good season for the light!
Smart composition with the road and the fences which lead the eye towards the lovely tree with the red leaves. Fine sense of space and 3D and great contrast both of light and colours.

Good Morning Pablo,

Sorry, I can't help solve the problem of the tree.

The weather you describe is similar to the conditions that we had, a quick turn in temperature, high winds and the lovely autumnal spectacle was quickly removed inmany places.

This is a lovely shot, taken from a pov which gives a choice on our direction. The fence drew my attention to the l/h side first; then I followed the road to the right, enjoying the eye-catching tree.
The light is lovely, giving interesting shadows across the path, helping to define the camber.

The contrast between trees having leaves and leafless ones, as well as the contrast of their colors is really striking. Under bright sunlight this autumn scene looks simply wonderful.
