Photographer's Note

A trilogy of novels written by Norwegian author Trygve Gulbransen published 1933-1935 gained large success and sold in buckets, but possibly not because of literary quality though�

Movies were also made based on Gulbransens books, for instance the German production 𡤃nd ewig singen die W鄟der�, that was released in 1959 and became a great success with an audience of 7 millions.

What is my point? Well what you see in the image could very well be the setting for Gulbransens epic drama that describes the life of a wealthy family of farmers during the years 1760-1810�

𨯗nd behind sings the forest� � the translation for the English speaking among you� 幈g bakom synger skogene� in Norwegian.

Hi Pablo!

Wonderful POV - the rolling hills and the various shades of green are incredible. Your brushing work on the tree is nice, but it's created a bit of a halo effect. However, I dont think most people would notice it.

The trees in the foreground are helping to frame the scenery. The point of view is sending my eyes toward the farms the toward the mountains which is giving depth to the composition. The afternoon light is enhancing the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

This is a great landscape shot! The trees in the foreground create a nice border as well as providing depth for the scene. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has excellent sharpness. The red roofs attract the eye to the center of the scene.

Splendid panorama here Pablo,

it should be so fine to live in such a environment, far from the crowd of our cities. The image has a peculiar quality which I'm not able to describe, so vivid and so well defined and everything harmoniously composed. I'm surprised how every single tree here looks so well defined and detached from the others like in a 3D image, and even the red of those small houses in the distance is clearly perceived.
Very beautiful, really an excellent landscape photo.

Green and blue seems to touch our souls, Pablo.
We love to see such shots. Whether it is a natural phenomenon, or whether it awakens some childhood happiness, I'm not sure, I just kbnow that we love it!
There is a wild, natural beauty here, absolutely non threatening. The small red houses, in the distance, attract the eye in a welcoming way.

You titled your photograph in German, but I have to admit I do not know the movie at all. 1959, we had no TV in my family and I was just 6 years old. Looking at your picture the deep forest impresses me a lot, it is so nice and I hope that these forests are healthy and well protected. Very nice green hues set against the blue sky. Very good photo job. Thanks for your critique of my souvenir stall shot from Penang. Yes, you may stay in the hotel and observe Penang, it will be worth it.

A fine picture which works well in layers...the woody parts in the FG, followed by the rolling hills with habitation in a small village. The framing is well done with the tree on the left. Light seems to be on the stronger side, but well managed. Good work!
