Photographer's Note

Inaugurated in 1950, Oslo City Hall is the city's administrative body and the seat of the City Council.

The building has been decorated by great Norwegian art from 1900-1950, with motifs from Norwegian history, culture and working life.

Hello Daniel,
This building is mainly famous for its two towers, but its style and elegance is obvious even in this tightly cropped photo. In fact I prefer this closer view which shows us many of the fine details of the fa蓷de and which makes the three persons in the foreground important for the composition. The photo is neatly cropped and the mild colours are very nice.

Hello Daniel,

A very imposant building with much brickwork.
Also the ground floor have a nice an other architecture.
The people in foreground are a nice addition for scale.

A good close-up of the Oslo city hall. The photo shows the pattern of the large brick fa蓷de really well, the details and sculptures look great. The three people in the otherwise quiet square are well included.

Ciao Daniel,I remember this very well, and I was also lucky enough to meet many married couples inside, so I was able to celebrate with them ... great capture of the main facade, a decidedly ugly building but which remains the symbol of the Oslo of last half century. Quite a charming town scene, made more lively by the presence of the exciting visitors. But focus is directed behind into the heart of picture - the imposing cityhall building depicting the character and style of the architecture with lovely blend of soft colours. The exposure is seamless, well done shot and tfs
