Compound BIIa
This compound functioned as a quarantine camp for men from different countries during the period from August 1943 to November 1944. The purpose of quarantining, apart from identifying those who might have infectious diseases, was to terrorize newly arrived concentration camp, prosoners nad to teach absolute submission to camp discipline. From April to November 1944, sick prosoners from other parts of the camp, both men and women, lived in some of the barracks of this compound.

Hi Lukasz, Strangely enough I have just this morning finished reading a book about Auschwitz.. called "The man who broke into Aschwitz- By Denis Avey- a true story.. He was a British POW alongside the Awful camps.. The atrocities were shocking. He could not speak about them for 70 years..
I think your image says enough about how bleak and terrible they were.. a sad reminder of mans cruelty to man.. well presented.
