Photographer's Note

A view taken last month with this snowy and sunny mountain setting of one of my favorite valley in Tatra mountains.
It was an interesting trip to the Czarny Staw (Black Lake) in the Gasienicowa valley.
Good weather and full relaxation - I like it.

Cześć Piotrze, I kogo to ja widzę :). Oczywiście Tatry. Wspaniały widok na dolinę. Teraz to już tam pewnie kwitną krokusy. Super zdjęcie.
W Warszawie jednak wyły syreny. trzeba sie było przypodobać gnomowi. Osiem gwiazdek i ....

It's always nice to see you posting now and then. This is a spectacular view of the steep dark rocks covered with snow. The ski tracks and the skiers seen down in the valley tell us that this is a popular place to go. As always it's a well composed and perfectly exposed photo.

Hi Piotr,

The length of the valley is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the mountains. The reflection of the light on the snow has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Piotr,

How good to have you sharing photographs and experiences again!
I thought this was monochrome until I noticed the sky!
Your photograph is full of drama from the rocky peaks and steep slopes, made even more beautiful from the snow covering!
A few isolated tracks show the presence of humans, otherwise, this is pristine nature!

Zapierajacy dech w piersiach widok! Slyszalem ze walka zimy z wiosna w Tartrach jest szczegolnie zacieta, popularne jest ostatnio to zdjecie krokusow wystajacych ze sniegu.
Piekna panorama. To niebieskie niebo robi roznice. Bardzo dobrze naswietlony snieg: mozemy poczuc jego szorstka powierzchnie.

Moze sie po prostu zestarzalem i stad moja wieksza obecnosc na TrekEarth, ha ha, zaczynam zyc bardziej przeszloscia niz przyszloscia... Ale tak naprawde ja glownie jestem tutaj obecny dla siebie samego... po prostu lubie porzadkowac zdjecia i wracac do pieknych chwil ktore mi one przypominaja.
Mam nadzieje ze jestes na dluzej?

Wonderful winter scenery!
The snowy road or ski path on the right side leads us further into the landscape. Behind the bend in the road we can see three people.
Spectacular landscape with a nice difference between the sunlit slopes and the parts in the shade.

I liked a lot these effects of the sunlight in the snow and the graphic aspect of the small black pine trees here and there. very beautiful view.
