Colorful Katowice, a photo from Slaskie, West

Photographer's Note

These houses along the Korfantego Street in Katowice attracted my attention due to their style and color. Obviously I am not happy about the street lamp and cables. By getting closer the perspective would be affected and from a further distance I would loose details and possibly I would get even more lamps and cables. Tough choice. I thought I will hide it by placing it in between.

looks more like a mix of many slim fa蓷des. very beautiful and interesting style with these fake towers in the corners.

These houses are beautiful enough to make it easy to ignore all those cables and street lamps in front of them. The architecture makes them look very grand and attractive with fine colours also. Well done.

The problem of taking pictures in a city ...
Especially the upper part of these buildings and the towers look very beautiful.
Because of the different red tones, they also stand out more.
The clear weather also plays in their favour.

An impressive corner building with street action view, Mariusz.
Bright daylight enable a beautiful colors contrast and fine details of the archi.-design.
I can see the surveilance-cameras on the nearset pole - you might had been dtected by the big-brother...

Hello mariusz,

You have actually hidden the lamppost very well and its upper features fit well with the decorative elements at the top of the building.

I often clone out wires but you had little option, here, without doing a lot of complicated cloning! We just have to accept the reality! The building really is exceptionally attractive, with its slightly different facades, its coordinated colours, its lovely, symmetrical windows and its eclectic upper ornamentations.

Your photograph is very well exposed and the saturation very natural.

A lot of Polish cities are not in the guidebooks or on the tourist radar, but they are every bit as charming as Wroclaw, Krakow & Warsaw. Good sharpness and a nice warm cold color contrast. Tfs!

A fantastic building, with a colorful and original design, I think it may be from the beginning of the last century,
