Photographer's Note

A sculpture put on the main facade of the premises of The Aleksander Zelwerowicz State Theatre Academy in Warsaw.

This building is called the Collegium Nobilium. It was an elite boarding secondary school for sons of magnates, founded in 1740 and run by Piarist monks. The school existed until 1832 and was one of the predecessors of Warsaw University. (based on Wikipedia)

A fine composition of this giant mysterious hand that looks as if it is about to reach out and grab you. The symmetrical background contributes much to the strength of the composition.

A funny monument (if that's what it is), both design wise and when it comes to placement!
The hand contrasts well with the classical architecture, and surely arise attention which I assume is the main purpose...

Hello Malgorzata,

What a dramatic view, looking up and seeing a massive right hand � I don't see the "life line" or the "heart line," nor an indication of "how many children" this individual is going to have, but then I don't believe in palmistry! Very good symmetric shot, and the only symmetry breaking aspect is that it is only one hand.
