Wawel Cathedral stands on Wawel Hill in Krakow and has a 1000 year history. It is the spiritual centre of the Polish state, the coronation site of most Polish monarchs and the burial place of most Polish kings and national heroes.

Hi Marlene,
Thank you for posting a photo from my country.
Indeed, Wawel Cathedral is the spiritual centre of Poland.
The golden roof belongs to chapel where are buried the kings from Jagiellonian Dynasty. They ruled Poland in the Golden Age of our history. Poland was in this time one of biggest and most powerful countries in Europe, including in its borders the land from Baltic sea to the Black Sea. I'm talking seriously.

Beautiful architecture I love the light on the golden dome of the cathedral and the mixing of different colors of the other towers and dome.
