Photographer's Note

This photo is one of my favourites .. It was taken during my way home comming from college ... It was a Spring day and I couldn't resist .. I stopped the car( belive me .. it was not a good place to stop :))
And here it is .. :) I hope its worth the risk! :)

It was taken near Ribeira Grande .. another city here in S.Miguel Island - Azores.

Joana,

A very magical shot here. The color of the sky has a purple/white hue that's just great. The profile of the tree with the setting sun is fantastic. You did a great job composing your image. Nicely seen and captured,

Hi Joana,

Beautiful composition....truly like a fairly tale. I can imagine a castle in the distance...though there isn't one in there but it almost gives you that feeling. Nice work.

It was definitely worth risking your silver VW ;) to take that kind of photo. Really beautiful one. The title is very accurate because it looks like a scene from Fairy Tale, and they lived happily ... etc. etc. :) In which program did you make this shadow on the frame?

A photo like a painting in wonderful predominant "gentle" colours, especially the trunks on the left. It looks a little bit like a chinese painting ... and a little bit magic. I like it very much!

Oi Joana, definitivamente o risco valeu a pena pois essa foto esta lindissima! A luz esta extraordinaria e a composicao tb esta muito boa. A unica coisa que nao gosto eh da borda, mas isso eh uma questao de gosto pessoal, eu nao gosto de bordas.

Hi Joana. This is a beautiful picture. It has a pictureque feel. The soft light, especially over the trees' sides gives it a warm playful touch. I keep looking at it and I think it has a feeling of surrealism......Really beautiful.

Hello Joana.
The title for this photo is just perfect, just looking at it makes me think of fairytales and fantasy stories. If J.R.R Tolkien had lived today he would defenantly used this photo as a cover fro Lord of the Rings.
Lighting conditions are at quite an angle but in this case they just make the motiv more surreal.
I like the "fade out" feeling you have achieved in the bottom right corner, it adds more mystery to the entire shot.
