From True Luxury ... around the corner, shot behind that corner:
Mild Subtropical South Coast
The south coast of S緌 Miguel is 50 km long.
The first twenty kilometers, around Povoa誽o (which curiously means settlement, it was the first one between Europe and North America) are actually not suitable for human settlements, since they are almost as steep as these.
Here are the first of those 20 km shoreline. Almost vertical cloud cones join almost vertical coastal slopes.
The extreme case of the ultimate climate paradox / border: one of the mildest climates in the world, yet no place for humans, not even at sea level.
To remind humans that they should leave untouched the remains of the Garden of Eden, from where they were once expelled.
