Photographer's Note

Castelo dos Mouros (English: Castle of the Moors) is a castle located in the town of Sintra, Portugal. The castle is located on a high hill overlooking the town, being one of its most important tourist attractions. It is part of the Cultural Landscape of Sintra, recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

As implied by its name, the castle is of Moorish origin, but the current building is the result of a romantic renovation carried out in the 19th century. The views from its walls and towers are breathtaking. The town of Sintra with its royal palace, as well as the Pena National Palace, are all visible from the Castle of the Moors.

Wow, that's some stunning fire up there in the sky, looks like it's melting the branches of the trees beneath - they are so delicate and fragile. The castle on top makes the whole scene like a movie. Fantastic picture. Thanks for sharing.

Long time ago I visited Sintra and this castelo. I remember I found some parts of its wall as spectacular as the beautiful Great Wall of China.
Here you found a very good POV to show us that wall in an excellent way with the battlements nicely standing out against the sky, a sky that looks like it's on fire.

A fantastic composition, in all senses.
The pov you chose is very effective and original to produce a very well balanced image with great depth and sense of perspective. Of course this castle is very beautiful but I appreciate a lot your PP work which gave you a very evocative image.

A surprising composition with the sky which gives a color filter as resounding.
POV magnificent with the great rock and the turret in the foreground, the wall up the hill and in the top the castle, all that beautiful vegetation that covers the site.

Superb presnettaion of this castle sith the incredible and beautiful colors in the sky. I like too the very efficience POV very well selected. This POV and the wall learn the glance and give a very great prospect effect. The peoples give an interesting idea of the scale of the place.

very impressive view.The composition itself is fantastic with two tower one being much closer and the other furthe in the distance interconnected with the wall.
It would be a great shot even without the tobacco filter but with the filter the effect is wonderful. I will consider buying one (tobacco filter).

A dramatic "burning" sky's, over the impressive Sintra Castelo-dos-Mouros.
(I missed this place due to rainy weather, I'll have to do again...)
Colors on this image very intense and unique against the grey boulder and castle wall's.
Good use of filter, well done.

Hello Paulo, i see your experementing with filters. Sicerely i don't like very much the result on this one. I find that the result seems more like 2 diferent photo's glued together. It is a personal taste and i hope you don't mind i give my sincere opinion.
