Sao Joao da Pesqueira - Viseu - North of Portugal

This place became a city between 1055 & 1065. We can still see ancient monuments from that time such as castles (Castelo Velho, da Ch, de Reboredo, da Fraga de Alcaria, de Ch de Trovisco, Castelo Alto, de Gramejo, da Senhora do Monte, da Cocheira, Monteiras, da Sra. Do Viso e do Vento).

This church is a living prove of that - it started being romanic but it suffered with the evolutions of the architecture and now it is neoclassic.

It is one of the many cities in Portugal taking part in the vast list of World Patrimony.
