This picture was taken at the most west point of Europe (cabo da Roca in Sintra).

When we get there it was so misty (because of the low clouds)that we couldn’t see anything. About 10 minutes later the low clouds disappear and we get this great view. At the right side of the photo, you can still see the low clouds disappearing. Because of the high humidity, the greens are very strong here.

It was known to the Romans as 'Promontorium Magnum'.The cliff rises out of the Atlantic Ocean to approximately 140 metres above sea level. The lighthouse along with a tourist shop sit on top of the cliff.Poet Luís de Camões defined Cabo da Roca as the place "where the land ends and the sea begins" (Portuguese: "Onde a terra acaba e o mar começa"). "
