Took this photo at Universitate Metro Station. Girls were stopping by to see the gems. I loved the way the gems seemed to have a light of their own in that rather dark place.

I am not critiquing much at the moment, but I simply must stop to echo George's comments here. I can imagine how difficult this was...perfect light and exposure...

Hello, the great thing here is not the light, which is great. The great thing here is the menacing preence of those two gangster types in the back looking on at the 3 women from the shadows.

Beautiful picture with lots of interesting things going on such as being caught by the girl, which is looking at you. Also, the guy on the background is very good with that movement on his hands. And what about the eye on the right? Simply beautiful! Well done.

Hello Raluca. Women and decoration:)) - a really interesting topic. The photo is outstanding composed and technically perfect. The picture becomes correctly worth seeing by the woman, who out-looks with an eye behind the stand with decoration. It makes fun real to regard the photo. Many greetings, Wolfgang.

Hi Raluca,
An interesting daily life scene with nice crowd and peculiar light, varying from the dark top left corner to well-lit table in the centre covered with all kind of jewellery that woment are obviously very much interested in.
I especially like a detail of a saleswoman unitentionally hiding behind the goods :)

Hey Raluca, this is gorgeous, man!.. the lighting is so beautiful, and as I think lighting is 50% of a photo, you could not be wrong with it.

Clever title too to summarize women's irrational attraction towards everything that glitters (and to everything which looks like a shoe too);-D .

THAT attraction difference, between, us, boys and them, our so-difficult-to-understand companions (I have often said to my wife I sometimes find myself more common things with a male dog), you've introduced it in your shot, with a noticeable gap between the mesmerized line up of shiny eyed girls and the background male characters, who seem to silently add up $$ in their head... for these two guys, only the green Abe Lincoln or Andrew Jackson heads glitter..

That's it, Raluca! You are getting close to the people, the wonderful people of Bucharest...forget the churches, the steeples, the old stones, here you are showing us life in all its shadowed nuance, and I applaud you for it!

A fantastic one...I can see the sparks on the eyes of the girls, which is the real gem & topical...
The light plays a separator for the array you have built with teh shady transaction going on the far end of your frame..

I always try to visit whoever critiques me to see what there work is like and why maybe they liked mine/or disliked for that matter.
This is a very well composed scene here and you have handled it really well. The lighting is excellent and there is plenty for the eye to see and look around. What I raelly liked was the girls eye is just peeping around the beads as you took it.

Buna Raluca,

Lumina este cea care face din acest loc banal o fotografie superba. Si ochiul tau care a observat-o. O compozitie foarte buna si o buna echilibrare a zonelor cu detalii multe cu zonele aparent lipsite de detalii. Imi place cum ai prins privirea fetei in maioul cu dungi dar cel mai mult ma intriga privirea vanzatoarei de dupa tejghea. Ai curaj! N-am mai vazut ceva asemanator decat intr-un detaliu din pictura "Judecata de Apoi" a lui Michelangelo de pe Capela Sixtina. Foarte frumos!
