The cliff-like ridge, where the Kalemegdan complex is located at the confluence of the Sava river into the Danube, makes one of the most beautiful natural lookouts in Belgrade. Kalemegdan is the core and the oldest section of the urban area of Belgrade and for centuries the city population was concentrated only within the walls of the fortress, thus its history, equals the history of Belgrade itself. Kalemegdan is generally divided into four sections:
Donji Grad or Lower Town, occupies the slope towards the riversides, from the top spot. Between the lowest section and the Danube is Kula Nebojsa ("Fearless Tower"), which was turned into a museum of the Greek revolutionary Rigas Feraios as the Turks strangled him in this tower and thrown him into the Danube. Donji Grad , so as the neighboring Savamala, gets flooded during the high levels of water in the rivers and Kula Nebojsa suffered extensive damage during the major floods of 2006. Orthodox churches of Ruzica and Sveta Petka are also located in this area.
Gornji Grad or Upper Town, a top section of Kalemegdan, turned into a park, with beautiful promenades and the statue of Pobednik (The Victor), the "Roman well", the Observatory and Planetarium.
Mali Kalemegdan or Little Kalemegdan, occupies the area in the eastern section, which borders the urban section of Belgrade. Northern section of Mali Kalemegdan is occupied by the Belgrade's zoo. Veliki Kalemegdan or Great Kalemegdan, occupies the southern corner of Kalemegdan, with geometrical promenades, Military Museum, Museum of forestry and hunting, Monument of the Gratitude to France.
Kalemegdan is the most popular park among local people and for many tourists visiting Belgrade because of the numerous walking paths, shady benches, picturesque fountains, great historical architecture and incredible river views.
On the photo you can see the Military Museum. I decided to post this picture, because thanks to the wintertime the trees were without leaves and they hide gently the impressive building. At the same time I found the evergreens at the base of the reddish wall nicely contrasting with the season and adding vitality to the scene.

Olá Attila, good composition of this fortress. I found funny a little silly detail: The image is similar to the flag - red wall, white/grey fortress and blue sky. There's also the luxourious green FG. Fantastic place it must be to visit.
Friendly regards,

Szia Attila,
A részletek ugyancsak, ahogy a mellékelt szöveg is. Gratulálok, és szép napokat Kívánok Neked!

Hello Attila,
I find the detail very important, but we can see the different construction styles, to the left a castle, in the middle the militair construction, to the right again a other type castle or a fortress, good composition with the nice environment in foreground, very well done.
Greetings,
John.

Hi Attila,
Maybe it its level is a bit lower than your TE average, but it is still a wonderful view. Somehow, IMO, what makes it special are that green below and the bare trees.
I could mention the sharpness not being so great, but I suspect that only the camera is to blame.

Hello Attila, a photograph of musé military that you not to photograph little in spring so much the foliage must hide it to us, with less carried slicer, I often have the problem of vegetation which hiding place us the sight it should be made with, obviously I joke, because I find that these trees confer on the sight small with dimensions mysterious with their branches pruned well and to look after in front of the red wall, the whole perfectly emphasized by a framing where nature and the plants are used, l'angle of catch of sight appears particularly judicious to me because it includes the entirety of the frontage and its flag, but also the vegetation avoiding an image without relief, sincerely ...............................Hello Attila, une photo du musé militaire que tu ne peu photographier au printemps tant le feuillage doit nous le cacher, à moins d’emporté une tronçonneuse, j’ai souvent le problème de végétation qui nous cache la vue il faut faire avec, évidemment je plaisante, car je trouve que ces arbres confèrent à la vue un petit coté mystérieux avec leurs branchages bien élagué et soigner devant le mur rouge, le tout parfaitement mis en valeur par un cadrage où la nature et les plantes sont utilisées,

Ciao!!

Hi Attila,
Your setting of this fortress and its wall, with the vegetation that surrounds it, gives us the sensation that is placed in the middle of the jungle, and not in a great city as Belgrade.
A good POV that gives a nice perspective of the building cut away on a very interesting and beautiful sky. The flag undulating to the wind it is a detail extra in the composition.
Good work with the lighting, and a few natural colors, for this good photo.
Best regards,
Josep

Hello Attila,
Great shot like if it was made of several layers, with the luxurious foreground, then sthe stone cold walls and the fortress, and finally the blue sky covering it.
I like the impact the trees on foreground causes on the photo.

Ciao Attila,
Bravo!

Nice detailed view of the fortress through all the leafless vegetation, Attila. The flag adds some movement and gives an interesting splash of color in the sky. Difficult to say in such a tight framing, but I have the impression of a tilt to the right.
