Odrasli, između ostalog, jedu semenje i zrnevlje, a ponekad love i leptire. U proleće, vrapce privlači cveće, pogotovo ute boje, kojim se takođe hrane (afran, jagorčevina).

The number that follows us.
A view of nineteen sparrows, which rest and dry their feathers after bathing.
The house sparrow, or domestic sparrow or sparrow (lat. Passer domesticus) is a member of the sparrow family (Passeridae). Today, it is the most widespread bird on the planet.
The domestic sparrow is a small bird 14 to 16 centimeters long. The male has a gray crown, cheeks and abdomen, while the neck and beak are black.
Young sparrows feed on insect larvae, mainly pest larvae. Adults, among other things, eat seeds and grains, and sometimes hunt butterflies. In the spring, sparrows are attracted to flowers, especially yellow ones, which they also feed on (saffron, bitter gourd).
