Photographer's Note

View from Mt. Visevnik towards Bohinj southern mountain chain.

The display of colors was a fair compensation for waking up at 3:30 am, driving for more than an hour and walking uphill for about 700 m. At the top of Mt Visevnik the temperature was -7C, wind speed approx. 50 km/h. Chilly.

beautiful POV !!! This is amazing ! The colors are splendid and this fog gives a nice effect. I especially like the colors of the sky and the light on the mountains.

That was my plan this morning too, didn't succeed though. ;-)

Your image is wonderful. I like the different hues and textures of the mountain ranges, all seperated by the fog. Also very nice and subtle colour tones.

Zivjo Ales;
Lepa fotografija Bohinjskih hribov. Vsec so mi trije grebeni spredaj. Tudi megla naredi svoje. Na sliki zgleda kot bi bila ze zima - kar pa na zalost komajda drzi :(.

mountains and hills and snow and rocks and ... differs so much in asia and europe that it makes all the european post to me very interesting.

Another outstanding shot Ales, although this has a quite different atmosphere to the other one that I commented on.
The warm light (despite the cold temperatures) gives this an altogether more optimistic feel.
I like the horizontal layering here, with the series of ridgelines giving a great sense of depth to the image. And that mist down in the valley... I'm speechless!
It looks a wonderful landscape; like the English Lake District on steroids.
Excellent work.
