Photographer's Note
Well first i must tell that i played with hue and saturation. I wanted to get that depresive look. Just becaus of their own story. As wee all know that work at mine has never been eazy work.
Why are thy all standing still? It was playing a national athem. This is event that hapened once per year when old miners accept new young colleges in their lines. A great event!

I like this kind of story-telling shot. Agree that you should have put a note with it. I appreciate that you're trying to express your feelings by manipulating the colours, but I'd like to see the original of this shot without digital manipulation. It tells such a strong story, you've already captured it in the camera. Sometimes manipulating an image is like gilding a lily.

I just love that picture. I believe we see too many landscape on this site. Keep posting pictures like this one. I can feel the proudness of those men.

I have re-written this in the event of a note. Thanks very much. A very interesting story - I like the look of pride in the photo (and also the look of hardship in some of the faces), I imagine that this lot look out for each other very well.

This is very cool. Their expressions are priceless and the framing is good. I don't quite know about the colours though. I would suggest b/w.

Stong portrait. I would suggest to run the pic in neat image to reduce the noise and to use unsharp mask to increase the details. To blur the background would bring the viewer to focus on the subjects. Play with colors balance to bring live to their faces. I would appreciate a note to accompany the pic. Well seen Andrej and Merry XMas.

An excellent historiographical and archival shot. As much history as photography. Great capture.

i guess it's a good thing that you fixed the hue and saturation in this pic, cos it gives it a faded look that suggests that it is old or from a while ago. another thing (and don't take this the wrong way)... some of those men look like zombies, especially the one bottom row, dead centre hehe ;) (i'm possibly also biased, cos i just watched a hilarious zombie movie an hour ago.) anyways, good shot here!
